Tour Overview
Our Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley Private Tour (2 Days) is a carefully planned private experience designed for travelers who want to explore the Sacred Valley in depth and reach Machu Picchu without rushing. Unlike one-day or group itineraries, this tour offers flexibility, personalized guiding, and a smooth connection between the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.
On Day 1, we offer two private Sacred Valley route options, allowing you to choose the experience that best matches your interests:
- Option 1 – Classic Sacred Valley Route: Visit the Pisac archaeological site, explore the Pisac traditional market, enjoy free time for lunch in Urubamba, and continue with a guided visit to Ollantaytambo. In the afternoon, you board the 15:37 train to Aguas Calientes, arriving in the evening.
- Option 2 – Alternative Sacred Valley Route: Begin at the Chinchero textile center and archaeological site, then continue to Maras and Moray, followed by free time for lunch in Urubamba and a visit to Ollantaytambo. As with the classic route, the day concludes with the 15:37 train to Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you stay overnight in a 3-star hotel or similar, allowing you to rest comfortably and prepare for the visit to Machu Picchu without the pressure of a same-day return.
On Day 2, your private guide picks you up from the hotel and accompanies you on a private guided visit to Machu Picchu (Circuit 2). This is the most complete circuit inside the citadel, offering panoramic viewpoints and in-depth cultural interpretation, all at your own pace.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Sacred Valley & Train to Aguas Calientes
The Sacred Valley covers a wide area and includes several important archaeological and cultural sites. For this reason, we offer two private route options on Day 1, allowing you to choose the experience that best fits your interests. Both options begin with private pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 7:00 AM. Option 1: Classic Sacred Valley Route (Pisac & Ollantaytambo) After hotel pickup, we begin the journey with a visit to a local alpaca farm (Manos de la Comunidad), where you can see alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos up close and learn about traditional Andean textiles. Next, we continue to the Pisac archaeological site, followed by time to explore the Pisac traditional market, well known for its handicrafts and local atmosphere. Afterward, you enjoy free time for lunch in Urubamba, before continuing to the Ollantaytambo archaeological site, one of the most important Inca citadels in the Sacred Valley. In the afternoon, we transfer you to the train station to board the 15:37 train to Aguas Calientes, arriving in the evening. Option 2: Alternative Sacred Valley Route (Chinchero, Maras & Moray) This option also begins with private pickup at 7:00 AM. First, we visit the Chinchero textile center and archaeological site, where you learn about traditional weaving techniques and Inca history. We then continue to the colonial town of Maras, followed by a guided visit to Moray, famous for its circular agricultural terraces used for crop experimentation. Next, we visit the Maras Salt Mines, an impressive pre-Inca salt production site still in use today. Afterward, you have free time for lunch in Urubamba. The day concludes with a guided visit to Ollantaytambo, before boarding the 15:37 train to Aguas Calientes.
Day 2 - Private Guided Visit to Machu Picchu
Day 2 focuses entirely on Machu Picchu, the highlight of the journey. After breakfast at your hotel, your private guide picks you up and accompanies you to the bus station. You take a 30-minute bus ride to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary entrance. After presenting your passport and entry ticket, you stop at the classic viewpoint (guardhouse) for photos and a brief introduction. Next, you enjoy a private guided tour of approximately 2 hours, following Circuit 2, the most complete circuit inside the citadel. During the visit, your guide explains the historical and architectural significance. After the guided tour, you return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you have free time for lunch and shopping.
